Scott Brogan began collecting Judy Garland's records in the mid-1960's when he saved his allowance money to buy the MGM Records soundtrack of The Wizard Of Oz. Entranced by Judy Garland's voice, he happened to pick up the Pickwick double album compilation of some of her Capitol recordings entitled "Judy Garland - Her Greatest Hits!". He was hooked.

Spending most of his formative years overseas, before the days of Cable TV, Satellite TV, the Internet, or even VCR's, all Scott could get his hands on were the Garland records available via mail order. Which was fine, as he loved to listen to Judy Garland sing. Young Judy, MGM Judy, Concert Years Judy, it didn't matter.

When Gerold Frank's massive biography about Judy came out, Scott was fascinated by the life Judy Garland led. He read more and more about her, and as each biography that would come out, he would snatch it up and fervently read it.

Scott's main goal has always been collecting Judy Garland performances, first on record then later on CD, cassette, VHS, laser, and now DVD. Scott says "Regardless of the material things one can collect - the costumes or dolls or knick-knacks - it's really about Judy Garland and her talent. As long as I can enjoy her performances, all the other trappings really don't matter. Judy's voice and talent always amazes me, and I never tire of enjoying the legacy she left us."

Scott is the webmaster of The Judy Room (www.thejudyroom.com) and now it's "sister site", The Judy Garland Online Discography (www.judy-garland.org/discography/index.html).

Scott lives in San Francisco with his partner of 9 years.

Scott would like to thank Eric Hemphill and "Alex In Belgium": "Without the help of these two gentlemen, the Discography wouldn't be as complete or beautiful to look at as it is today. I also thank Scott Schechter, Brian S., and all of the other folks out there who have given me so much support and encouragement in this endeavor. The Judy Room is coming up on 10 years of celebrating Judy's life and career on the web. I'm proud to say that the site has become the culmination of the efforts of everyone mentioned above, and everyone who's submitted their feedback and help, not just me. It's really a site for the fans, and by the fans. Thank you!!"
