MARIE ANTOINETTE (MGM - 1938)

Nope! Judy doesn't play the doomed French queen nor is she subjected to any beheading scenes. However, the extras on this disc contain the short "Hollywood Goes To Town" from the "Another Romance Of Celluloid" series. In this short are shots of stars arriving at the premiere of Marie Antoinette. Judy is seen very briefly with Freddie Bartholomew. They stop and sign the guest book.

The DVD is sold separately, or as part of "The Motion Picture Masterpieces Collection" (seen at right).

The film itself is worth seeing. MGM spared no expense to bring the court of Marie Antoinette to life. An "A" picture as only MGM could make back in The Golden Age.
