Judy Garland In Concert -- which, it should be stressed, ought not to be thought of as a "tribute show" -- this is Judy's return to the concert stage, a presentation that captures all her singular passion, timeless artistry and emotional intensity in one of the most unique and engaging settings imaginable.
The concert will feature Judy on film and in voice performing about two dozen songs to the live accompaniment of the Boston Pops. Three giant video screens above the orchestra will present Judy performing and (where appropriate) will show still images, montages, film clips, etc.
Press releases and fact sheets and such are being worked on as you read this, so there isn’t anything of that nature to pass along at this point.
The full breadth of Judy's life and career will be covered in this concert. As far as details like technology, merchandising, etc. -- well, stay tuned to the Web site for more info, and rest assured information will be out as quickly and as efficiently as it becomes available.
